For this year’s exciting finale of the Summer Stars music festival, Gordon Turk will play the rarely performed Concerto in E-flat by 19th century American composer Horatio Parker with the 65-piece Mid-Atlantic Opera Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Jason Tramm.
The program also includes the legendary Violin Concerto, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, played by elegant young violinist, Christine Kwak, on the 18th century Italian violin on which this concerto was premiered in 1881.
Gordon uses the immense resources of the Auditorium Organ for the soaring melodies, colorful harmonies, and powerful sonorities of this glorious Romantic music. Don’t miss it… it’s a rare opportunity!
